After the police academy, new officers will be assigned to one of Baltimore County's ten precincts for field training. Officers will complete eight weeks of on the job training, accompanied by an experienced field training officer. After successful completion of field training, the new officer will receive a permanent assignment.
The Training Team offers courses to officers from any jurisdiction, with preference given to members of the Baltimore County Police Department.
